ГЛОБАЛІЗАЦІЯ, АКАДЕМІЧНА МОБІЛЬНІСТЬ ТА ІНТЕРНАЦІОНАЛІЗАЦІЯ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ

Анотація

Сучасний світ переступив через поріг, коли вища освіта належала до привілеїв незначного та обмеженого кола осіб. Далі, поступово починаючи долати ізоляційні бар'єри, світ зробив черговий крок, коли вища освіта стала доступною відносно широким масам населення цивілізованого світу і вийшла за рамки розрізнених національних академічних систем, зумовивши її інтернаціоналізацію.
Україна однак, залишаючись радянським сателітом, десятиліття поспіль була ізольованою і закритою від прямого впливу зовнішнього середовища на внутрішньодержавні процеси, а про міжнародну академічну мобільність та науковий обмін годі було вести мову. Довгий час залишаючись осторонь відповідних міжнародних процесів, Україна наразі лише стає на шлях долучення до них.

GLOBALIZATION, ACADEMIC MOBILITY AND INTERNATIONALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Summary

The modern world has become open for new opportunities more than ever before. Borders between countries and corresponding cultural, language, socio-economic barriers for international mobility have also become increasingly formal. Relevant global transformations forced by the process of globalization, resulted of amplification the academic mobility, which is the main driving force for the internationalization of higher education.
The world crossed the line when the education belonged to the privileges of a small limited number of people, which was associated with the corresponding socio-economic transformations. Further, the world gradually began to overcome the isolation barriers and made the next step when education became accessible to relatively large masses of the civilized world and went beyond the detached national academic systems, resulted internationalization of higher education.
The notion of "internationalization" refers not only to relations between countries, but more to the relations between peoples and civilizations at the global and local levels. Internationalization it is the reflection of intercultural and civilizational processes, which in the global dimension quickly and radically changed not only the education, but the whole paradigm of world perception. Like any process, internationalization acquires various forms and contents.
Education has become a fundamental factor uniting different countries on all continents through internationalization. Higher education is the unifying element and platform for setting up communications between such different socio-economic models around the world. However, the internationalization of higher education in Ukraine is largely fragmentary rather than systematic, and is not formed by an institutional mission, tradition or current context.
